I am delighted to announce my photograph “Dreamscape” has been selected for exhibit at the upcoming Juried Student Art Show at Arlene’s Atelier in Albany, New York for the month of November.
Arlene Clement, founder of Arlene’s, will be the juror and select the winners. She has done amazing things for the local art community. Thank you to my teachers at Arlene’s Kevin Kuhne, Jessica Hyatt and Ali Herrmann.
The winners will be announced and awarded the prizes at the Artist Reception on Thursday, November 1st, from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Artist Thoughts by Hillary Raimo
In today’s world it is important to love one another, no matter what. The now is simply a lucid dream going your way. Learn to step outside that boundary you dread. That courage will give you strength.
The artistic process is a necessary one.
The arts have been defunded in just about every public school across our country. No matter what your political stance, how you allow this process to be expressed depends on your ability to know it. Imagine the loss of it completely and how that would change everything.
Teachers are everywhere. Lots of students. It is crucial to know how to be both and how to respect both in others.
I seek to align my creative energy with the empowerment of the arts. Supporting local art in our communities is vital to keeping the sacred divine feminine & masculine energy alive and well in all living things.
Just some thoughts of mine…
Dreamscapes differ for everyone.
Painted only by the colors of our hopes & fears.

“After the Wildfires”
11 x 14 unframed
I was inspired to paint this after a drive through the devastated forests of Northern California with Grandfather Whitewolf in 2016. He shared how wildfires make charcoal and how that cleans and purifies the land and the water. He talked about how the radiation from Japan was poisoning our oceans, and how the earth knows what she needs to heal.
Although it may an inconvenience to modern day humans, the intelligence of her, is happening anyway.
